It's not often I find myself agreeing with Rishi Sunak.

The man has no real values of his own, he just looks at what's popular with potential voters, and runs with it. He'd sell his granny for a vote or two if needed.

It’s the only reason I would vote conservative. The measures announced yesterday were entirely sensible (though of course they’ve had years to get a grip of this and gender ideology has taken hold of our institutions on their watch) , but I absolutely do not trust Labour not to roll back these entirely sensible and proportionate measures to ensure the safety of women and children

I don’t care what his reasons are for saying it, I’m glad he did. I still wouldn’t vote for him though, can’t stand him.

But the general public are fed up with the “I can say I’m a woman if I want to and you WILL RESPECT me and anything I want to do” brigade. They can fuck right off.

It won’t make me vote conservative but hopefully it will be enough to embolden more people to be able to speak out and expose the nonsense for what it is.

He knows it's a wedge issue he can use, I doubt he gives women's rights the slightest thought.

I have no idea how genuine it is.. but he does have two daughters... but he actually said it instead of the usual dancing around we hear from others.

I've always voted left and will be voting Tory for the first time ever because of that statement.

Ridiculous that my normal parties refer to us as non-men, bleeders, cervix-havers and any other offensive bullshit descriptor rather than WOMEN.

I have daughters and if I can't even refer to a person with xy chromosomes as a man without facing being fired, attacked, my home and children targeted, then all other issues pale beyond Women's rights for me.

If a man puts on a dress, makeup, wig and changes his name, he's just a man doing woman-face. No more a woman that if a pig or monkey wore a dress makeup and a wig would be. You can't change sex. It's ludicrous to say you can.

It does baffle me in all honesty, biological sex cannot be changed (I'm sure I'd be challenged by someone somewhere in the world on that one!). So I do agree with him on this one, I do worry for women under Labour, but that's an even bigger can of worms to open.

First thing he's ever said that's true!

Him being able to say this out load at a party conference is due to the grass roots work of a very few women. At the start I remember having to almost meet in secret about this. There were about 400 women on Twitter x saying no to a sea of hate. No celebrity endorsements at all.

childcare costs are abismal in this country compared to France or other developed nations. Women are treated simply terribly in the world of healthcare, and now these people are using my beliefs to try and get a vote ?

I would never vote for the tories but I do find it a bit suspicious that Labour say they are for equality but they have never had a female leader and most of their leaders are bending over backwards for the TRAs.
They don't want more rights for the working class, they want more rights for white, Christian, British men who went to the same unis as them.
