The Guardian really hates women in sport doesn’t it?

According to the Guardian it’s about shoes, or tech, or being African, or chasing the prize money. It’s never really about women just achieving great things is it? I put a below-the-line comment about why women’s sport should stay as cis-only and it was removed in a flash.

So glad I cancelled my subscription. I need to stop reading that rag.

‘When I saw her time, I pinched myself!’ – why women’s running records are being smashed

From the 1500m to the marathon, this year has seen seconds and even minutes shaved off race times. But what accounts for the change: supershoes, feminism or something else?

Your title is too long.

The Guardian really hates women, doesn’t it?

There, fixed it for you.

The Guardian seems to hate all women. As well as the independent of thought, those who have made money and those who can spell. It's a shame. It used to be a good paper. Although the spelling has always been bad!

They banned me from commenting! I didn't comment often and when I did, it was calm and respectful. They won't allow any complexity of thought on certain issues.

And yes, as a former athlete who had to give up competitive sports due to a lack of funding for anything women participated in, I did make a couple of comments about why trans women should not be competing with cis women. The comments were banned and my account was blocked.

I’ve read the comments and spotted a GC one that has slipped through the net! I have copied and pasted it below in italics in case it gets deleted later. Several commenters talked about the difference between the sexes in sport, and the male advantage, but this one went further:
^^
…there is a vocal lobby that denies a male advantage in sport to justify the inclusion of males who identify as women. These voices either deny the male advantage outright or claim that 'we don't know if there's a male advantage and we need more evidence '. In addition to the blindingly obvious there is in fact excellent research showing the advantages conferred by male puberty and that these persist regardless of testosterone suppression.

Maybe it survived deletion because there was no mention of certain keywords like trans or cis, so the mods didn’t spot it? Silencing and banning reasonable views about an issue that affects women is chilling - and proof that the Guardian doesn’t care about the rights of female people to excel in their own sports category.

Also, the reference to how shoes improve performance is not just relevant to women. Men are running in improved shoes too!
