And 'banned from the women's competition' as well, rather than the usual 'banned [no qualifier]'.

Why is chess segregated on sex?

I heard that too! Wow!

Segregated on sex because there are no women players in the top 100.
All sorts of reasons why that's the case.

They referred to an interview of the top female player that explains in more detail.

I’ve only just got round to looking for a thread after hearing R4 Today this morning. Wasn’t it great? I’m not sure who the presenter was but he was explicitly clear that transwomen are in fact male, and the interviewer was clear that there are no women (or was it only 2 women) in the top 100 players because ‘reasons’. They both know it’s not a level playing field and transwomen in women’s chess isn’t fair because no matter how men identify they have the advantage of misogyny working against women whether or not there’s a biological advantage.
