Quite new to mumsnet and have been enjoying the feminist board. I was just wondering if anyone has read a book called ‘It’s a woman’s world’ and if so, your thoughts? It’s a feminist, well, kind of dystopia I guess - I can’t really make up my mind to be honest - set in the future where the world is run by women and men are oppressed. Made me think a bit, and just wondering if anyone else out there had read it?

I'm not sure which book you actually mean? Can you remember the author at all?

@RoseslnTheHospital oh sorry, I think I got the title slightly wrong. It's called "It's a (Wo)man's World. Its by Stella Beake.

Just downloaded the free sample from Amazon kindle, and I couldn't get very far with it at all. It's not very well written and the premise is so absurd to the point of being unable to suspend my disbelief.

@RoseslnTheHospital oh interesting, I agree the premise is farfetched but quite enjoyed it!
