Dd1 who has year 8 said this was used in a PSHE lesson today at her grammar. How would you feel about this?

you could try a complaint to head / request for more info as to how it was used
this appears to be the latest version https://www.genderbread.org/resource/genderbread-person-v3-3

In this version it treats biological sex as if it were identity and female and male were identity words which should be regarded as a sliding spectrum of how much femaleness a person has.

I rather doubt the Science department would approve

In version 1 it was better

so I'd probably start out by talking to your child and finding out what version was used and what they were told and what they think about that.

version 1 is less homophobic and recognises that sexual attraction is for most people strongly linked with the sex of the people they are or are not attracted to.

The use of Intersex in the middle of male and female is inappropriate people with DSD are still either male or female.

Genderbread Person v3.3 | The Genderbread Person

A teaching tool for breaking down a complicated concept into bite-sized, digestible pieces.
