She freaking loved my bag. My cheap falling appart ahf bag. She was so busy running for the tube station and I yelled back thank you, I finished chemo yesterday (for now) so this really cheered me up.

Love this! I used to feel embarrassed telling people when they look fabulous but now I do it all the time!

I've always stopped women to tell them when I admire their clothes, hair or accessories. I didn't realise how much until I saw my then 5 uear old DD politely stop her headmistress in the playground to say she loved her scarf, and then the reception teacher to admire her shoes!
The example we set!

I know I have along way to go well, I imagine I do but this was just lovely today. And yes the sun shining in central London for the first time in yonks and me just been there in the thick of it made me happy. I thought she was going to say she loved my turban. She was a proper city worker banker type so I guess shes seen it all on the way up. I want a new one. I would never take it to work as we are one of the more extreme Trusts who take things very seriously however I do take it to chemo every week in the same trust. I ferl if Im not working its allowed😃

I love this.

I always make a point to tell women when I love their bag/dress/entire look. At worst they'll feel a bit embarrassed, but generally I get the impression they're delighted with the compliment.

Quite often I'd love to tell people I love their bags / shoes or hair.

I always refrain from saying it though. Should I? I just don't want to be awkward / cringe or annoying.

Would love to cheer people up with my honest compliments!! 😊

I'm so glad that woman brightened your day. It can mean such a lot - I went to a gig in London not long ago and coming out of the Tube this older guy going the other way looked at me and said 'Lady, you've got style'. I tend towards colourful and slightly eccentric, and I'm 55 and not slim, so it was nice to be noticed.
