GODDAMN IT

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64662056

I'm not naive enough to think this doesn't happen on other commodity farms or indeed anywhere where women have few choices on what work to do.

How about protesting to Unilever?

Does anyone know of female-owned enterprises in this field or any that do sack and press charges against men who do this?

Thats horrendous. The buyers need to be exposed too.

OhHolyJesus · 21/02/2023 07:38

I hope the undercover reporter is ok too, though she consented so to expose the horror of what the other women go through she was somewhat sacrificed for the story.

Though I'm pleased this has been covered as I'll be checking my tea brand, I hope the women are ok. There is no escape for them, I doubt measures will continue to be applied to help them.

I watched this. Sadly, I'm not shocked.

Can anyone set up a petition to tell Unilever (and many others I suspect) that this is unacceptable? I don't know where to start with stuff like that.

Unilever don’t own those tea companies any more. It said at the end of the program

What an amazingly brave Women reporter.

What a disgusting scummy bastard man.

What will change for the women now this has been exposed?
