Charity to support uk women and girls

I am doing a review of my monthly charity giving and I'm looking for a charity that supports women and girls in the UK. I'm in Hampshire, happy with local to me or national.

I'm thinking of refuge - anyone know more about them as a charity? But also looking for suggestions I might not have thought of.

Women's aid. I see so many posters on here recommending an OP contact them. I always wondered how many of those posters think to donate to them (after realising I'd never thought to do it myself).
