From the Times
Sarina Wiegman, the manager of the England Women’s team, and four players have been included in the new year’s honours list after winning the European Championship.
Leah Williamson, the England captain, has been awarded an OBE, while Beth Mead, Ellen White and Lucy Bronze receive MBEs for delivering the first piece of major silverware for a senior England team since the men won the World Cup in 1966.
So Andy Murray was made a Sir after winning Wimbledon as was Clive Woodward for managing the 2003 Rugby World Cup team.
Do we think if the men's team had won in Qatar there might have been a few more honours?
