Beth Mead won, and Eve Muirhead 3rd. The England Women’s team won the team award. Such a good result for women’s sport I hope. Anyone else see it?

Yes, great result especially for the team award. Loved the references to little girls asking for football boots for Christmas. Start of a whole new era for women's sport.

Yes! Sabrina’s speech was great, she comes over as a motivating and inspiring leader.

Agree, it was incredibly inspiring. I wish I'd had role models like these young women when I was younger.

And what a year for Beth. The highest of the highs while dealing with her mum's terminal illness and then both she AND her girlfriend tear their ACLs.
