Incels could be seen as terrorists

Saw this on BBC website.

In summary:
Incels are getting more prevalent, more violent and SM algorithms are feeding them (no surprise). Women (and now increasingly children) are the targets of regular rape threats and other harm.

This has the potential to be so serious and organised that it may now be seen as a 'terrorist threat'.

I'm so sad for us and our kids that the world is like this. Misogyny is so out of hand.

Recommendations are made by the research body ( Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) ) to try and stem the tide.

What forum does it refer to?

They are viewed as extremists in my line of work (criminal justice) risk assessments and the prevent strategy is applied in the same way it would be for anti Islamist extremists for example

Thanks for the links.

Some spend up to ten hours a day on these sites 😯😪

Julia Long has the answer to that problem.

@J0y yeah well, it is actually a bit comforting if they spend so much time on there as it indicates that they don't have a job. Good that nasty people like that are not out harassing people on the jobsites.

My workplace, college, has just included incels in safeguarding/ Prevent info. Certain other types of online grooming being fingers-in-ears ignored, funnily enough.

The whole incel thing is kind of a red herring.
Misogyny, men treating women like objects etc. is the real problem.

Men in relationships rape, abuse and kill women everyday.
