Sexual assaults in queue to view the Queen’s coffin

I’m posting this here as I know if I put it anywhere else it’s likely to be met with a chorus of NAMALT.

But seriously, why?! Maybe not all men, but 99% of the time it is men doing things like this.

Women are not safe anywhere.

Opportunity mainly, I suspect.

There will be some who saw the queue on the news and saw how it offered Opportunity + In Public Frisson x Queen Funeral Frisson.

There will be those who went there to queue like everybody else and then in their head opportunity knocked. Either acting on impulse, or seeing their preferred kind of victim premeditated what they were going to do while working their way towards their prey. Etc. etc.

Some thought they’d get away with it via “plausible deniability”. Some hoped they’d get caught due to guilt and/or fetish for being humiliated/arrested/god only knows what else. Some just don’t have enough impulse control to think beyond “right now”. Some don’t believe it’s really that big a deal and don’t understand why such a fuss is made about “nothing”.

Agree that many people don’t think this kind of thing is a big deal @AlienatedChildGrown. Unfortunately it’s that kind of attitude that allowed men like Wayne Couzens to commit their crimes. The sooner indecent exposure is recognised as a gateway crime, often leading to bigger and even more serious offences the better.

I highly doubt any of the men doing this in the queue are doing it for the first time either.

Absolutely doesn't sound like the first time.

There is a very thin line separating disgust and desire. More and more I'm thinking that.
Just think, the more disgusted a normal person is by something like this, with all the attendant surroundings, the more turned on someone else is.

Women are not SAFE anywhere... so fucking depressing.
