Work discrimination policy omitting sex

Every year I have to read and sign a copy of the code of conduct policy at work. This year it seems to have changed and states "Employees must not unlawfully discriminate... on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage & civil partnership, pregnancy & maternity, race, religion & belief sex (gender) and sexual orientation. This rule applies equally to harassment and victimisation."

Nothing about discrimination due to a person's sex. This is wrong isn't it?

Is there a comma after belief or is "belief sex" a thing? 😁I would ask what they mean by sex (gender). Is gender meant as a coy term for sex or as an "identity "? In any case I wouldn't sign it like that.

No comma. Definitely "belief sex."
This is a policy issued by a London council so affects a huge number of people if everyone from the librarian to the bods at the top are having to sign it!

I would point out they had missed out a comma after belief; and at the same time they need to remove (gender) as under the EA2010 sex is the protected characteristic not gender. The missed comma is definitely a typo.
