Wondered if anyone wanted a thread to discuss his court case (hopefully without getting deleted).

I read this earlier and will be interested to see what happens. The defence appears to be the usual "gold digger made it up" yet a lot of what she's saying resonates with normal abusive behaviour.

Disappointed they couldn't reach a verdict, will be interested to see whether the cps go for a retrial

Ryan Giggs behaviour is disgusting. He's a scuzzy scumbag. I don't understand why any woman would want to be with him.
But he's been through one trial and clearly some people on that jury did not feel he was guilty. So I don't think it's right to judge him as guilty until that has been proven.

Retrial July? That's a long time isn't it. Not in case standards but for him. 11 months. Means he won't be able to coach for his team, till then? Good.

It was dismissed because of the defence not bringing any evidence abd the judge had requested that this verdict is not guilty rather than dismissal of a case.

They are the ones with the evidence not Mumsnet

We have all the evidence. It came out in the last trial.
The prosecution service are not proceeding because two witnesses said they couldn't face going through cross examination again.

The headline of the Sun today suggest he wants his job back now he's been cleared.

It's awful to think that the media/fans can terrorise his ex into not wanting to give evidence and he could therefore get his job back as "innocent until proven guilty"
