Subliminal suffragette gardening

I’m quite proud of this. I’m a keen gardener but because I only have a tiny garden front and back I spend a lot of time doing summer pots for the front of the house. I’m on a country lane that has lots of walkers who comment on my floral talent 😁
This year I’ve decided to plant in suffragette colours - purple verbena, fuschia and petunias, white bacopa, verbena and lobelia, and obvs green foliage. The vast majority of people won’t cotton on, but if there’s someone who walks past, clocks it and thinks “I see what she did there” and smiles, then that will make me very happy.

Greebols that's great. KStock - it was an ordinary garden gnome with a fishing rod, so I just crocheted a nice little flag.
Gotcha - I thought you'd stumbled upon a treasure trove of suffragette garden accessories
I am, unfortunately, terrible at crafts so my gnomes will remain flagless
