Absolutely fantastic work, hats off to whoever pulled this together. Many companies being outed for just using IWD as a cynical marketing ploy.

After scrolling through dozens of pay gap stats in favour of men across all sorts of industries, I got excited to see one 10% in favour of women - then realised it was for a hospice, so falling neatly into the women-as-cater spot.
(Waits for some bright spark to rock up and announce that women earn more than men in porn. )

I had a venture into the gender pension gap hashtag.. immediately regretted it. It's just full of accounts kindly mansplaining that our pensions are less because it's our fault. We simply need to earn more and stop choosing to have time out of work to have and raise children.
Who knew the solution was that simple eh?

It gets better, I present you a thread detailing organisations that deleted their tweets after being exposed. Some even went so far as reposting without the hashtag to avoid the bot

Some companies are now deleting their tweets or reposting without the hashtag so they bot doesn't pick their tweet up...

@SingingSands
Simplest way would be to see if your company have tweeted using the IWD hashing, and then check if that tweet has been quote-RTed by the paygapapp account.

That's just sneaky.
Bet none of them actually take it on board and take steps to put it right, easier to brush it under the carpet

@Felix125
Are they comparing like for like jobs roles within a company?
It says in their tweets, it's the median hourly wage across the whole company.
It's not comparing like for like roles, but will show up companies who hire women in low paid roles whilst the men get the top paid roles.

For anyone who wants to check out their own employer etc -
'Search and compare gender pay gap data - GOV.UK - GOV.UK'
gender-pay-gap.service.gov.uk
My own employer came out as 3.3% difference which was definitely lower than I was expecting.

Ryanair is absolutely shocking -
