The Jenkins Review (Australian Government)

An independent review into harassment at the Australian parliament as a workplace has revealed 33% of survey respondents have experienced sexual harassment in the parliamentary workplace and 37% have experienced bullying. The review was commissioned after a female staffer made an allegation of rape in a parliamentary building.

The usual causes have been identified including gender inequality, a male pale and stale monopoly of power in the building, alcohol and more weirdly, ‘unclear standards of behaviour’ (really? Patting on the bottom in 2021 is a grey area?)
