@ErrolTheDragon Thx for sharing that link. He is right about toxic masculinity needing to be addressed. We need to have this conversation and not just get defensive with the not all men are bad. Of course not all men are bad or like that. But, it usually is said as a way to shut down conversation about toxic masculinity, abuse, inequality.
I did not read anything that suggested that he was singling out men with masculine builds or suggesting that there is anything wrong with being masculine. He was addressing toxic masculinity.
FWIW I have met plenty of skinny, less masculine looking men who behave in a way that indicates toxic masculinity and misogyny.
For me, there is nothing manly about treating women like objects of contempt. There is nothing manly about being terrified by the sight of your son playing with dolls or dress ups or liking sparkles or the colour pink.
Men who aren’t frightened to stand up against toxic masculinity and toxic patriarchy are manly. And it has nothing to do with their muscles or other physical attributes.
