Anyone else noticed this?
There are some certain issues that disproportionately affect men, men's mental health and suicide is a big issue and it should be treated as such BUT, and as an example, I was watching clips of loose women on YouTube (god knows why), and they were talking about women and girls safety and the comments were basically 'the streets are dangerous for everybody' 'we shouldn't be demonising men and boys' 'men are at risk too', the next clip I watched was titled 'should we speak to our sons about mental health' and the topic was about male mental health specifically, not once did any of the loose women say anything like 'but what about women and girls, they suffer with mental health and suicide too'.
It's just a really interesting observation I think, and that's just one example, but it's pretty much always the case, we get to discuss men's issues and men's issues only, but when it's women's issues, we have to mention men too.
