Sorry, posted too soon...the embedded audio is included in the link above.

Anja Popp went to Georgia, and found a largely unregulated surrogacy market, where there is no shortage of vulnerable women to meet the demand.

Georgia’s surrogacy industry is booming, as prospective parents from around the world turn to clinics with modest prices to help provide their dream of a family. But does this largely self-regulating industry safeguard the thousands of women who are turning to surrogacy to make a living?

Anja Popp went to Georgia for Unreported World, and found a largely unregulated surrogacy market, where wealthy couples can have multiple babies at the same time, and where there is no shortage of vulnerable women to meet the demand.

That was absolutely shocking . Those poor women, and that poor baby with the Chinese parents left on his own .

So many things about this programme were shocking, including seeing the male medic push down hard on the woman's abdomen as she was delivering the baby. Then the poor woman had to lie in the recovery room and listen to the unattended baby crying . Awful from start to finish.

Seeing that newborn removed from the surrogate mother and left in a cot with no human touch was one of the most disturbing things I have seen.

Absolutely horrific

I'm glad to see this thread. I watched it last night and had to turn off after watching that baby being forced out for want of a better word. My heart aches for the poor thing and the woman. How can anybody think it's OK to violate a woman's Labour so horribly? I had a C Section so I was numb both mentally and physically so watching that woman was absolutely sickening. I can't stop thinking about it. I wish I hadn't watched the programme, it's really upset me.
