Kate's human rights victory against the Met has been on the front page, along with their abuses of Sarah Everard.

Monumental victory, and validation for all the women that #spycops have abused.

Brilliant well done Kate Flowers These cases are so important and so shocking. The idea that the police can sort out its misogyny problem when it is still not being fully transparent with the UCPI is not credible.

“On the same day, we heard that Wayne Couzens was sentenced to a whole life term for the abduction, rape and murder of Sarah Everard in March 2021. Couzens was a serving Metropolitan Police officer when he abused his authority to abduct Sarah. We know he showed Sarah his warrant card and handcuffed her. An eyewitness didn’t intervene because they believed he was a police officer carrying out his duties.

The police want to disown him and say he wasn’t one of theirs, but he was in the same elite firearms unit that the man who deceived me was deployed to after leaving his undercover duties. Couzens’ nickname within the squad was “the rapist”.

Why did they turn a blind eye to Couzens’ predatory nature? Why did they ignore the red flags? Was it that same institutional misogyny that led to a tradecraft manual being written on how to deceive women into abusive relationships?”

Does anyone know what will happen now? Does Kate need to sue the police to get any kind of restitution? Have the police announced some kind of review or anything into their practices?

This coming out on the same day as all the details on Sarah’s case seems to have swamped it a little, but it is, in someways, a more institutionalised abuse of women.

Well done Kate!

Sorry this isn't strictly on topic, but I didn't want to start a whole thread on this/am a bit nervy posting about it. It's taken me about an hour to write/unwrite/rewrite. Apologies if I'm hijacking Kate's thread.

Does anyone on here have experience of participating in the wider undercover enquiry?

I do have suspicions that an ex may have been/be an undercover, but I don't think I'll ever get anywhere with finding out.
That aside..

I discovered last year that I got monitored by a (now exposed) undercover officer in the late '00s, via an internet forum and several meetings I attended, and possibly also because of links to several people infiltrated by Mark Kennedy. I don't know when any monitoring stopped.

As far as I'm aware, I wasn't monitored (for want of a better word) by Mark Kennedy, but then again I wasn't told about the guy who did monitor me - I found out via accidental Google result.

I'm no longer able to access the forum I was "infiltrated" on, and their moderators wouldn't acknowledge to me that it even happened.

I contacted Police Spies out of Lives for advice, but they are only for women deceived into relationships - which didn't happen in this case - they couldnt help but were v kind about it all (thanks to them!).

I can't go to the Campaign Opposing Police because of history with their founders; they actually blocked me when I contacted them about it.

I tried a couple of solicitors already representing inquiry core participants earlier in the year, but they did not have capacity to take me on.

I'd like to know exactly what what info is held about me, as well as be able to take part in the inquiry. Does anyone have any advice about what steps I can take please?
Many thanks in advance x

gentle bump

I think I might start my own thread if this one stays quiet. I've name changed for these few posts, obviously.

This is the officer in question, in case anyone thinks my last post is a bit wtf:

powerbase.info/index.php/Rob_Harrison_(alias)

He got my and others name and addresses via an online music cd swap, of all things, and apparently monitored our posts.

At the time, I was in a relationship with one of Mark Kennedys male targets and lived a couple of doors down from him.

Shortly after that, I moved to London and ended up at a few meetings he (Harrison) infiltrated.

If anyone can suggest to do next (without having to engage with the blokes in the COPS campaign etc - I don't have or want any contact with my former activist circles any more, and I think the feeling is mutual), I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks again x
