A man saying this to a woman.
Is there ANY situation where this is acceptable?
Not a great saying, no.
Not from a man to a woman.
Not from a woman to a man.
Not from an adult to a child.
Not from a child to an adult.
Not from a child to a child.
Not from an adult to adult.

I don’t like it being said at all. Mostly because it’s used in a specific situation and never about the whole person.
It’s the laziest way to convey disappointment and/or frustration.
I’m not even certain what being “useless” is meant to mean. What a horrible way to describe another human being.
As to the idea of this being a feminist issue, I agree with others and would like more context.
