Very sad news about dawn foster, the journalist, who has died aged 34. I didn’t always agree with her but her writing was always thought provoking and fierce. Rest in power dawn

Giles Coren being his usual, hateful self.

Giles Coren is such an inadequate little man. I can only assume that he is utterly filled with self-loathing and uses attention on social media to fill some sort of void. He knows he's only got the career he has due to daddy. But he will continue to be indulged.

He’s a nasty piece of shit. It’s not even true that she trolled him - she pointed out that his success is due to nepotism and privilege and she’s totally right on that. Even for him, that is beyond low.

Oh god. I saw his post but didn’t have a clue it was about Dawn.

It's really nasty. If nothing else, spare a thought for her family and friends.

I totally missed this news. She seemed to struggle so much health wise, so unfair.

The only positive is that he is now trending on Twitter and everyone can see how much of an arsehole he really is.

I had no idea Giles Coren was such a despicable man.

Anyway, let's not turn a thread about a woman who died into a thread about a man who hated her.

Dawn, I did not always agree with you, but I respected your wit and passion and I'm sorry that you struggled with health issues and died far too young

Ultimately, we need more Dawn Fosters in the world and fewer shitbags like Coren. That could only improve things. Condolences to Dawn's family and friends.

She was great. It's such a loss to politics. And so young. :-(

I knew nothing about Giles Coren, except that he was one of these nobodies who get top jobs through nepotism. I think even less of him now. Dawn Foster, on the other hand, is sadly missed. As are British media standards.
