Poundland selling girls t shirts with 'goal digger' and 'future WAG' slogans. How aspirational - encouraging girls to aim for being a girlfriend. Truly depressing.

The thing is, those exact ideals ARE aspirational for some girls. That bloody Love Island thing and the Kardashians illustrate this perfectly.

The thread is here because it's directly related to sex....but maybe that's not right? Who knows.

I nearly didn't post at all because I couldn't be arsed to work it out. Maybe that's the idea - keep us nasty feminists quiet?

I think I subconsciously thought of this as the rad fem board and thought it wouldn't go down well on the other (lib fem ) board - personal freedom of choice, etc.

But again, who knows.

Wow - I saw the ‘future WAG’ ones in Primark a few years back and thought it had been slapped down.

‘Best’ I ever saw was a T-shirt on a girl - about 12,13 years - waking with her family. They looked ‘normal’, tourists, books and maps, fairly ordinary... T-shirt said ‘future porn star’.

The generous part of me thought maybe they’d bought it in Camden market and didn’t really understand what it said...
