I haven't clicked on the link because DM, but your thread title says enough. Sickening.

It is an absolutely shocking story. Poor woman. Too often women are made responsible for abusive and dangerous men.

The family courts are a disgrace. They honestly think the rapists should see that child let alone make the victim pay him to do that.

From my experience with the family court system it doesn’t surprise me. The whole thing needs major reform.

Shocking. I hadn't realised these things happened until I started reading more on MN about it. Appalling, for both women and children.

for those who did not click.

the woman is having to pay half the cost of a contact centre and member of staff so that contact goes ahead with her rapist

despite the judge deciding that she was the victim of domestic rape.

I didn’t see a rationale.
He is the rapist and the reason a contact centre is required. She has done nothing to warrant the bill.

The DM is one of the few places in MSM that reports on this kind of woman-hating legal decision and highlights the misogyny of family courts. I am very happy to click on their links and support their advertisers.

This case is horrible - but sadly not shocking. I hope the decision is overturned. It is high time family court case decisions were subject to public scrutiny - too many abusers are being protected in the name of safeguarding.

I'm not remotely surprised. The Children Act needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the foundations up.

Not surprising. Much like the Rochdale teenage trafficking gang, one of them petitioned to have access to a child he gathered through abusing those young girls.

That makes my blood run cold.
