Women now hold all Britain's senior diplomatic posts

This is interesting, good news for a change, covered in The Times today. It includes a history of the discrimination against women - banned from the diplomatic service until after WWII, and expected to resign if they married until 1973.

It is, however, perhaps worth pondering what allows the success of women in attaining these roles versus the dearth in the senior echelons of business, national politics, judiciary etc etc.

Really interesting, isn’t it?

the ambassadors to the United Nations, Washington, Berlin, Tokyo, Canberra, Beijing, Moscow, Paris and Rome are all women

and this is amazing!

That’s really great to hear, thanks for sharing. Yes it would be really interesting to hear the specifics of what they’ve done so it could be applied elsewhere.
