I cannot cope with them anymore. I've had it. I am sick of the whinging and the answering back and the defiance and the swearing, and the fighting and waking at 5am and they just never bloody stop.
I am sick of being in pain almost 24/7, I am sick of not sleeping properly and being woken by my next door neighbours fucking kids running about till midnight scremanig and yelling like its playtime, or bad pain in my legs and feet na dhands and arms and neck,or the dog whining to get out.
I am sick of this place, it's horrible and I hate it. I hate the house, the area, the RAF, my neighbours, the people who I see at school everyday..

I don't even know why I am writing this, becasue it's me, and no one will give a toss.

Its sunday i hate sundays when dh is away, and the rest of the world is a family, kids are stir crazy cos its the only day I can catch up with the housework and the weather is shite. Tommorow will feel better, are the kids in bed now?

JumpingDizzy · 15/03/2009 20:57

Just saw on your profile you have fibromyalgia, that's shit A couple of my friends have it and have had acupuncutre but you've no doubt tried that?

PottyCock · 15/03/2009 20:58

It's pissing with rain in Scotland at the moment, you're not missing much, believe me!

Take yourself off to a deep bath and a decent sleep pet. Tomorrow will be a new day. Sounds like you are totally fed up and in need of a good rest.

Saltire · 15/03/2009 20:59

Fox _ I went to pain management clinic and he said "oh well mrs x, your pain is caused by migraines, whic in turn are caused by taking codeine. If I stop the codeine you'll feel better". So he did and told my GP not to give me any. Now his theory would work if I was actually getting migraines. For it to be causing the pain I would have to have a migraine all the time because I have pain all the time. The only pain killers the GP will give me is Votarol, I buy Syndol over the counter to take as well.
I'm near Portsmouth.
Yes DH is away, but luckily nowhere hot and sandy, just away. I was really distressed before he left and kept telling him not to leave me here because I don't like it

I just saw the stuff about pain. And not sleeping. That is one of the worst things,I think, along with copingon your own

Have you got family/a friend who can come and help out?

Could you get the doc to review your pain meds if they are not working?

Its bloody tough being a mum sometimes. xx

JumpingDizzy · 15/03/2009 21:00

They're talking crap, can you see someone else?

Saltire · 15/03/2009 21:01

DG _ If I go to my mums in this frame of mind I won't come back. She is coming down the second week of the easter hols, bloody MIL and step FIL are coming the first week.
I suppose they will at least give me a break. I've been flapping around trying to sort out cards and flowers for them for mother's day, it's Ds1s 11th birthdya in a couple of weeks

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 15/03/2009 21:02

oh voltarol is crap isn't it

sorry to hear about the codeine

have they looked at putting you on the anti-depressants (can't remember which one)...the ones that are meant to help you get a longer sleep (the ones specifically used in fibromyalgia)? I read that with helping you sleep, the pain becomes a little easier to manage?

CarGirl · 15/03/2009 21:03

How long since the pain management clinic stopped the codeine? Has it been long enough for you to ask to go back and tell him that his experiment hasn't worked?

I think there is stuff more powerful that voltarol too? Morphine pump?

JumpingDizzy · 15/03/2009 21:04

yes foxinsocks ads can help with pain can't they? I was once given some for that they began with 'a'??

Saltire · 15/03/2009 21:05

I already take 20 mg of Amitryptiline, which is supposed to help with the sleeping. It usually does but for about 2 months now I ahve been waking a lot through the night. I feel its pain waking me, but not entirely sure.
I wonder if I should increase it, although the dose for use as an AD is about 75mg, thats a lot

And I ahve toothache right along all the teeth on my top right hand side, had it for a couple of days now, I need to go to dentist but am terrified to go on my own

DumbledoresGirl · 15/03/2009 21:05

Shit! Mother's day - nearly forgot

At least you are going to get some adult company soon. The lack of anyone to talk to drives me mad when dh is away. Have you any nice plans for when your mum is with you?

BTW, I got given a prescription for no fewer than 50 cocodamol tablets today - for a condition that should be gone in 3 days!!! Any good for you?

Lulumama · 15/03/2009 21:05

voltarol is not a pain killer, it is an anti inflammatory?

i live with a chronic long term health condition too,(crohn's disease) it is utterly awdul when it is acute.

is there a specialist nurse for fibromyalgia?

our local PCT runs courses for people living with chronic conditions

and definitely ask for a second, third or fourth opinion re your meds etc

i was not diagnosed and then misdiagnosed repeatedly for years, which meant i did not get any meds, and then got the wrong ones. and this also contributed to excacerbating my depression

i feel for you, i really do

living with constant pain and illness is bad enough without all the other crap ytou are dealing with and no DH around

ingles2 · 15/03/2009 21:05

Awww Saltire Really sorry to hear you're feeling so shit.
You seriously have my sympathies wth the dc's though. My 9 yr old ds is being a farkin' nightmare atm. I was such a smug mum and it's come back to bite me on the arse. I'm actually impressed with the ice cream throwing... I can just picture the dc's face

ingles2 · 15/03/2009 21:08

the pain from toothache can be incredible as well. you poor thing. Can you phone around and see if there is a nice sympathetic dentist (preferably female IMO) who can see you. You might need AB's.

CarGirl · 15/03/2009 21:09

I meant there is an anti-inflammatory stronger than voltarol as my best friends takes a cocktail of drugs but can't remember what is! Think it is another one that can attack your stomache lining though.

Obviously morphine pump very good for pain relief but not widely available especially if the pain levels are linked to flare ups.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 15/03/2009 21:11

Saltire, I am really sorry to hear what you're going through. Kids acting like toddlers is enough but the fibro is just too much on top. Being in pain is enough to drive anyone mad. I know this is probably the last thing you want to think about but I am trained in the Bowen Technique and I have had some really good results with Fibromyalgia. I'm in Bournemouth and would happily do a couple of sessions for free to help you out if you could get here. It's a shame because Portsmouth isn't a million miles away but it's not quite round the corner from Bournemouth .

I am supposed to be getting a filling in one of the teeth thats sore. The pain is from the back, right along to the tooth at the front (is it a canine). The canine tooth was never sore until I saw a hygeieist last year and I don't what happened but it gets sore now and again, but this is all 5/6 teeth on the top right and when I press the gum, its sore.
I was supposed to get referred to a dental hospital in Dundee, and get the teeth taken out under sedation but when I moved here the dentist said there wasn't that option!

I feel really wound up though and wonder if the fibro pain is causing the teeth to hurt!

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 15/03/2009 21:16

ow tooth sounds nasty

think tooth pain can radiate along your teeth iyswim

would definitely ask about upping your amitrytyline dose if that's an option? waking up at night and dealing with the pain/kids during the day must be very hard

CarGirl · 15/03/2009 21:17

BEing tense from the tooth pain can't be helping your overall pain level can it, as well as being shattered.

Toothache and lack of sleep on their own are horrific, through in arguing pre-teens and fibro it's really not surprising you're sturggling to cope at the moment.

Perhaps the glass of wine will help you conk out tonight.

Can you ask to go back to the pain clinic (I don't know anyone who is happy with their pain consultant!)

Saltire · 15/03/2009 21:19

Right thanks everyone. I needed to calm down a bit. I am going to take my book and glass of wine and have a bath and then go to bed I think!

OP posts:
Saltire · 15/03/2009 21:21

ooh look though I found this. Wonder if that's whats causing the tooth pain. The pain does go into a point just in front of my ears!

OP posts:
ingles2 · 15/03/2009 21:21

night Saltire, hope you get a decent nights sleep.
But definitely get to the dentist, I had awful pain not long ago all along one side and it was a tiny filling right at the very very back.

JumpingDizzy · 15/03/2009 21:21

Night Saltire x That's the ad I was talking about. Hope you get some sleep. I usually find a tot of whiskey helps me?

JumpingDizzy · 15/03/2009 21:23

Yeah sounds as if it may be? Stress makes you clench your jaw, one of the things I do and it gives me a headache.
