As the title says basically....
,I'm struggling massively,
,awake from early hours just dreading the day ,
nothing to dread ,but it gets worse as the sun comes up.
On and off through out the day ..a horrible churning feeling of fear ..
I'm barely leaving the house .
All the things I've used to do I don't now
About to start CBT and counselling, but was looking to try supplements too
It's the thought of places being busy and having to deal with people causing it
,which obviously is ridiculous and frustrating,as I don't live on a dessert island.
I'm already taking plenty of vitamins..I'm thinking of trying saffron or 5htp or CBD gummies.but they are all expensive so thought I'd ask if anyone recommend anything
thankyou for reading

Kanna works well. It's contraindicated for people taking SSRIs because it also increases serotonin, but it works better for me than SSRIs ever did.

Is it a herb

Right, but that doesn't make it untreatable

The previous doctor didn't give you them either it sounds like? So I'm wondering if they are contraindicated for you for some reason.

No previous doctor did give me them ...we just got a text saying our doctor had to many people and we were being moved to a different doctor..when I do an econsult ,I always ask for the old doctor, but get our one ,the new one .
I can see the doctors point ..I have tried most antidepressants, and I can't cope with the feeling of them working ,I can feel them after 3/4 hours of taking it ,and I don't like how they make me feel .they slow me down ,slow my reactions down .
One time I was trying to get used some and my daughter fell in a swimming pool and I didn't react straight away ,I just stood there ,..it was like what was happening didn't register in my brain ..
So I can understand her reasoning for saying no to antidepressants.
Which is why I'm here trying to find alternatives, and I don't turn the CBT down ..there's always the chance a different person, might have a different way about them that makes a difference

Counselling won't help.. you need therapy.. (.big difference).
magnesium glycinate is good for depression.
Also Vitamin b12.. you can't overdose on b12.. anything your body doesn't need you pee it out.

Yes @Bulldogsummer it's an herb. I originally had it in tea but haven't been able to find it that way anymore, so I have it as a supplement. I don't use it all the time.

Magnesium takes the edge off for me, but side effects (diarrhoea) make it tricky for me to take often. Rhodiola helped me a few years ago. But I agree with others that you should be getting a better service from your GP. Have you ever been referred to a psychiatrist? Have you tried medication for ADHD?
