AIBU to not give a shit anymore?

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 20:32

About anything!
Like pure and utter apathy. Don't feel a thing. Don't care anymore. Not one shit is given?

Have I lost the plot (don't give a shit if I have) or do others just not give a fucking tiny shiny shit anymore?

I hope you're OK, glad you've posted here and that you've sought help. Stay safe.

discoo · 27/01/2020 21:18

Well done for seeking help OP. Are you safe? Do you have children? All the best x

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:19

Ye they've said they've arranged help for me. I won't wait up lol. I suppose it will stop me doing what is the natural sort of thing one might do in such a situation however.

I don't like attributing my reactions to shit life events as hormonal however. So I'm not attributing it to pre-menopausal whatever that is.

I've had periods of feeling like this, they were linked to mental health breakdowns.

I hope you feel something soon.

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:21

Ye, I've 10 kids whom I've locked in the cellar.

Am I safe? No. I don't think so. That's why I called 999.

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:22

@Helpinghim Would you mind telling me about that? I'm intelligent enough to realise that blissful though this state of mind is, it's probably not normal or safe.

Ok i was only trying to help - good luck sounds like you need it.

FlissMumsnet · 27/01/2020 21:25

Hi DeTwamps,

We are really sorry to hear what's going on for you right now.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources.
You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

We hope your ambulance arrives and you're treated with compassion.

You sound really poorly. Have you really called 999 and is help on the way? It's a shit place to be in when you don't give a fuck anymore. Been there. Be well.

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:27

Thanks Fliss. I think an ambulance might be more what I need. Not sure the Samaritans are going to be much use!

serialtester · 27/01/2020 21:28

I'm just gonna gently suggest that you sound a bit manic (been there too) you on any meds or anything?

FlissMumsnet · 27/01/2020 21:30

Hi Again DeTwamps,

We've always found the Samaritans to be great when life is unravelling.
We hope the Ambulance crew will help you but do consider seeking help elsewhere too.

We really hope things look up for you soon,
Flowers

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:31

No I just made that up that I called them because I'm a troll here, trolling away.
Yes I've called an ambulance. Twice. Hung up the phone the first time as they wanted my address, then rang them back a half hour later. They said have you called us already this evening? I said yes. They said well we've arranged that help for you.
I'm not in the business of trolling or making up some random bullshit. I literally don't care that someone like you thinks I'm making this shit up. But there is a half of my brain that recognises that this isn't fucking normal, particularly given what the other half of my brain is planning on doing.

From experience I think you need a huge dose of something to knock you the fuck out for several hours and then professional help and support. You sound like a great, clever, funny person. I really hope that you get proper help soon.

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:33

Thanks Fliss. I find the Samaritans to be utterly useless, but I'm glad you've found them useful.

OP posts:
Eckhart · 27/01/2020 21:33

Can you think of anything that would help, OP?

polkadotsundress · 27/01/2020 21:35

I’m really sorry things are shit right now OP. I hope the paramedics are helpful.

Citygirl2019 · 27/01/2020 21:35

Op do you have anyone you could call to sit with you until professional help arrives? X

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:35

No, I can't. Nothing can help. That's the problem.

OP posts:
DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:36

Nope Citygirl. It's just little old me.

OP posts:
serialtester · 27/01/2020 21:36

And that's why you did absolutely the right thing calling 999

serialtester · 27/01/2020 21:38

You've got insight and a very black sense of humour. With some help you'll be ok.

Haybo26 · 27/01/2020 21:39

Just seen your other thread about your blood tests. Is this all related to how you are feeling now? You sounded like you were raging angry earlier so that does show you are feeling something. Hope you get sorted soon

DeTwamps · 27/01/2020 21:39

2 friends here where I live - both male. One is in China on business and the other fella is in Liverpool visiting his girlfriend. I'm neither in China nor Liverpool. Once the ambulance gets here I think I might be ok. Just talking to someone maybe. I know they'll want to drag me to A&E, but I'm not sure whether I'll go. I'm tired now too.
