I have a daughter and a husband. I feel like I am the luckiest girl in the world and yet the most hopeless. Samaritans took too long to answer. Help

Thanks Drama. I have bipolar type two which has been my playing up today. Felt quite high but mood has dipped. I'm ok though

I hope you're ok Trudygarland, and got through to the samaritans ok, and I hope you can get some help from your drs, sometimes I think it helps to take someone in with you-maybe you could get your husband to go, if you thought it would be helpful, even having another person in the room, not doing much except sitting and agreeing with you, can move a doctor on a bit , I think. Also, be as pushy, as you can, with the doctors receptionists, I think they often hold a few appointments back.

Anyway I hope you are ok, please look after yourself Flowers

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.
We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. You can also go to the Samaritans website or email them on [email protected].

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek real life help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

We are going to move this thread to the Mental Health section shortly.
