I don't think they would. I don't want to be here. I'm alone & can't see a future

Sorry to read that you've been feeling like this but glad you are doing a little better today. Did you see the GP yet? Make sure you get an urgent appt (you're entitled to one if you're feeling this low).

thesunwillout · 09/05/2019 21:05

I'm also glad you posted to say you're around. Hope you continue to feel a little better I find remembering that I can ultimately feel a bit better having reached out, or by it just being the next day, helps me for the next time iyswim?
I always hope there's not going to be a next time, but if there is I try to remember I got through it

I'm sorry about your dad, I hope you can take comfort in knowing you had a good relationship.
Xx

I also want to join the chorus and say that I dont know you but I care.

I care about you. I truly do. No one should ever think of themselves as being unnoticed and unloved.

The Samaritans are there to listen. Even if you cant say the words. They will stay on the line until you can. They are there. I had a friend who worked for them and she said they stay on the line to everyone.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, allhope. That alone must be making life so sad and tough at the moment. However, it's good to think of how much your dad loved you and would want you to keep going. Do you have other family around?

Dippydoppy · 10/05/2019 07:10

Glad that you are feeling a bit better. So sorry to hear about your Dad.

vgiraffe · 12/05/2019 20:40

@allhopeisgone How are you doing?

allhopeisgone · 12/05/2019 21:37

Sorry haven't been on mn much, have had a terrible headache for days which isn't helping how I feel. Finally seeing my GP this week. I'm on Sertraline so thinking he may try something else or a higher dose. No idea really but anything is worth a try.

No worries, just wanted to check in. Glad you have a GP appt coming up. Hope your headache improves, that can't help at all. Hope you're able to get some decent sleep.

DogHairEverywhere · 13/05/2019 00:05

Hi, good to hear from you. Sorry about your headache, lets hope the gp can suggest something that suits you better. Sometimes it can take a few goes to find what helps the best.

FlutterShite · 14/05/2019 22:26

Still thinking of you, OP. I hope you're doing okay.

allhopeisgone · 19/05/2019 09:59

Thanks for the messages. I've been to the GP & he has increased my ad's & also given me something for anxiety. He's going to look into counselling but there's a very long waiting list. Ive got details of private counsellors but they're expensive. I've been trying to take care of myself, eat better, sleep better, all simple things but it's helping Smile

I care too. It doesn't matter if you cry on the phone, or unable to talk. Just call the Samaritans.

MoonstoneMagic · 19/05/2019 10:03

There are lots of counsellors who will work for a minimum fee - there is somewhere near me which offers counselling for £25 for people on benefits or a very low income.

jackio2205 · 19/05/2019 11:13

Hey OP, if you have any friends that work in companies with good benefits they may be able to give you the number for their Employee Assistance Programme (usually it extends to employees friends and family) and you can get free counselling sessions through them?
Keep us updated, glad to hear you're taking even the smallest steps! X
