My friend is due back at 6.
I'm struggling to cope with severe depression and anxiety. Have splitting headache which I can't deal with, tearful, constantly on verge of a panic attack and hating myself more as the minutes tick by...

Hi colouringinpro, we're really sorry to hear you're feeling this way.
We can see you're getting lots of good support here from other Mumsnetters, and we're also glad to hear that your GP has been so understanding. We just thought we'd add a link to our Mental Health resources. There are lots of organisations listed on it which can offer you more support in real life, such as Mind - their lines are open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays) 0300 123 3393.
Sane.org.uk is another organisation which provides care and emotional support for people with mental health problems (and their families). They have an out-of-hours telephone helpline, open every day of the year from 4.30pm to 10.30pm on 0300 304 7000.
You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected].
We also like to remind everyone (as we always have to do ) that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.
We really hope things seem a little better this morning, OP. Sending good wishes.
