Just checking in to say hi, managed a walk yesterday and my DS took me to the shops, he is in sixth form and can drive. I can’t face going in to any kind of environment with people there if alone currently.

How’s everyone?

Fairydust26 · 20/02/2020 22:45

Hi Valkadin great your getting out and about. Im currently feeling very sorry for myself as I’ve caught a cold and feel rotten so have spent the last few days in bed. Not good for anxiety though as being unoccupied makes my mind wonder and I begin to fret about anything and everything!

Thanks for the reply Fairydust26 how is your cold, are you feeling any better?

Have managed to go outside every day but as by myself literally just a quick 15 minute walk. Have woken with zero enthusiasm for anything this morning.

JustMyName · 22/02/2020 18:51

Well done @Valkadin. It helps a bit getting out doesn't it? I'm getting to as well, but it's been all windy, I didn't manage yesterday or today. Roll on the better weather!

I've not felt great, woke up in a panic this morning and consequently habe watched tv all day to try and distract myself. I've tried everything I can think of to find some support, but I'm not getting anywhere. I'm not having another assessment either, because triage didn't feel it necessary, so I'm stuck with my gp and his lack of interest.

Lifesnotapicnic · 22/02/2020 22:14

Everything, just think lifes to hard . 20 years and it's not any easier .

Fairydust26 · 10/03/2020 15:38

How are people dealing with the Coronavirus? I myself aren’t worried but as more cases are developing closer to me and all the scaremongering in the news I’m starting to wonder if it’s something I should worry about. Have any of you found it’s made your anxiety worse?

Personally I’m ok. My father is immunosuppressed but is also not particularly bothered, he’s going in for a blood test tomorrow so will be finding out about it.
My grandparents are both over 80 so will be affected by this enforced isolation thing when it comes into effect. They have a house with a garden so can at least get outdoors... my grandmother’s sister is in a flat with no garden. Plus she’s alone, at least my grandparents have each other.
It’s not great, but I’m not hugely worried.

BippityBoppity87 · 15/03/2020 21:11

@Fairydust26 Yes 100% I wasn’t really that worried before, but now I am. I work in a pub/restaurant, been off for two weeks and back tomorrow and I hope people have taken some warning and not come piling in like they did with beast from the east and we were absolutely mobbed. I don’t think I could handle it. I ended up having a panic attack at work a couple of weeks back and I’m worried I’ll have another one if there’s too many people around me

How is everyone?

BippityBoppity87 · 15/03/2020 21:13

Sorry meant to clarify we have a lot of offices around us, and if they shut I'm worried they won’t take the warning of going straight home

Fairydust26 · 17/03/2020 09:30

Feeling very off today sore throat and a headache. Family have had a horrid cold so I’m putting it down to catching that. Trying not to worry that it’s bloody corona! How’s everyone doing today?

OP posts:
BippityBoppity87 · 17/03/2020 16:21

Hi @Fairydust26 oh no! Hopefully you’ll be ok! You’re right, there is a lot of colds going about on top of everything that’s going on (which probably isn’t helping) Have you got paracetamol etc?

I’m still quite anxious, but I’m off work for the rest of the week, so at least I don’t have to leave the house unless I really need to. I’ve tried not to go overboard with the cleaning in my house, it’s been known to tip into hypomania in the past, so I’m just sticking to the essential parts i.e points of contact - doors handles, light switches etc.

How is everyone else doing?

Fairydust26 · 17/03/2020 17:18

thanks BippityBoppity87 feeling much better now🙂. At least you’ve got the week off work, have you got much to keep you occupied? Popped out today and everywhere seems business as Usual Wasn’t quiet at all if anything it was busier🤔.

Yeah it’s all a bit bizarre, frankly I don’t think people are taking this serious enough. I bet as soon as someone who is relatively young, fit and healthy becomes seriously ill people will soon change their tune.

Ok, I need an outsiders perspective and I’m really not sure what to do amidst all this happening. My son is 3 and he goes to nursery 8am-12:30pm. It’s not compulsory. I want to take precaution and not take him for the rest of the week. My DP has said we should carry on as normal. But if he wasn’t to go, it won’t affect our income. I’m off until Monday, we don’t pay for him to go. What would everyone else do? I’m all a bit frazzled and anxious about it

BippityBoppity87 · 17/03/2020 17:57

No nothing much! Probably just Netflix mainly where I can avoid the news. As long as I’ve got some gin Gin I think I’ll just about manage to cope! What about you @Fairydust26
