When you want it over. To not be here anymore. How do you shift your mindset. What do you do. I’m talking about self help techniques not counsellors or services. Thanks

I write things out in a notebook. Like journalling. I don't put dates or anything but just write out how I'm feeling. I'd be sectioned if anyone ever saw that book. My therapist has seen odd pages when there's something I need to talk about but don't know how to bring up or I can't get the words out but I'd never let him read all of it. I'm not always complimentary of him in there. Blush

Going for a massage helps too. Physical contact with someone else is grounding and it requires no effort from you except to take a shower and show up.

Writing doesn't help me. It makes the thoughts more real. Something about seeing them written down makes them more intense. It has a reinforcing effect.

Drawing on the other hand gets the thoughts out of my head. I find it really helpful.

Similarly I tried massage and didn't like it but I have a hairdresser whom I trust absolutely and I feel very cared for when I see him. He has seen me in some pretty zombified states over the years!

This has saved me a number of times. I promise myself if I still feel like this this pm/tomorrow I will do it.
