they are all our of touch wankers. they reckon taking drugs and having tattoos are mental illnesses. if so I think their conservative values are mental illnesses.

Oh.

PurpleDaisies · 12/06/2018 07:19

They really don’t. What’s set this off?

shakeyourcaboose · 12/06/2018 07:22

Riiiight..

LEMtheoriginal · 12/06/2018 07:25

The NHS has woeful provision for mental health sufferers. However this is due to lack of money rather than the amazing people who work within it.

fruitcider · 12/06/2018 07:35

As a mental health nurse I would view mild recreational drug use and tattoos as normal, if it was normal for that person!

There is an argument that drug use and tattoos are forms of self harm. There are levels at which they become problematic.

For most people they are fine, same as binging on chocolate for example. For others they might signify an issue.

Personally I would apply this to the drug use more than tattoos but I may be biased.

namitababe · 15/06/2018 06:15

yes they do. it's all a scam.

It's a lot harder to get sectioned than just going to church. Trust me.

Steeley113 · 15/06/2018 08:11

Your behaviour on here shows you have some mental health issues so that is probably what the ‘NHS’ are acting on.

WonkyDonk87 · 15/06/2018 08:15

I think OPs posts don't necessarily show mental illness. Immaturity yes, but not mental illness. Odd/bad/dysregulated behaviour doesn't automatically mean mental illness.

Steeley113 · 15/06/2018 08:18

I think her posts on here, the paranoia against the NHS and unwillingness to engage show she has some issues. The fact that the service is actively trying to engage with the poster shows that she is clearly suffering and unable to see it.

Pepper123123 · 15/06/2018 10:38

Makes me so sad that people have opinions like this of the NHS.

So many of us wouldn't be alive today without it.

They have their faults, but the majority of those are because their funding is being cut to the point of collapse.

Redirect your anger at the people who are wilfully underfunding the very people who spend their lives trying to make yours better.

whattheactualbleep · 15/06/2018 10:47

I applaud our nhs and all the bloody hard working staff in it.
No I don't work for them myself but have many friends and family that do.

I've also on many occasions needed the use of the nhs for myself and my family.

I have overseas clients who tell me how much they have to pay for just the basic of service in their countries so although right now ours is struggling that's nothing to do with the hardworking staff on the frontline putting their lives into improving others, that's the big managers making ridiculous decisions and the government making hideous cuts to an already stretched service.

Had someone moaning the other day at the cost of a prescription which is there to make them better until I asked how much they spend per week on treats unhealthy food alcohol and rubbish.
Soon puts it into perspective.

Don't know where this entitled attitude on some people comes from Hmm

Ebeneser · 15/06/2018 10:53

I have had no experience myself of the NHS and mental health provision, so can't comment on that. However I have found them to be very efficient and professional with all my pregnancy related problems and routine appointments. I was pleasantly surprised. We have gone private as well, and the provision was no better than that of the NHS (just that the NHS didn't provide that service!).

Raven88 · 15/06/2018 11:17

What type of drug use?

namitababe · 16/06/2018 12:58

what behaviour is this? being insulting for no reason?

I've been told by them that it's weird to oppose racism.and that tattoos are evil ad I deserve to beaten for looking smart. thryvsaud I was bad for doing things many millions do.

so it's either lies or some rank bias. a mix of both I suspect.

OP posts:
namitababe · 16/06/2018 14:46

I've done nothing wrong here.

Don't be ridiculous OP. I doubt you were told anything of the sort.

Your perspective and comprehension seek skewed.

I don’t think that’s why they think you’re suffering from a mental illness.

Do you have an appointment today?

FusionChefGeoff · 16/06/2018 15:36

My very dear friend had some extremely disturbing views and opinions when he was ill - particularly regarding those who were trying to help him.

It's very possible that the OPs interpretation of events / things that have been said is being affected by her illness so it would be good to show support where we can.

OP do you have a crisis team / assigned person you can talk to?
