When you don't really want to live. When you feel bad 90.% of the time. What holds you back? For me it's my beautiful children. I had them , I have a responsibility to bring them up.

BUT, what if they turn out unhappy like me?

I've always a little bit sympathised with murder suicides in families. An unpopular opinion I'm sure, but I would not want to leave my children in this world with out help and their father is useless. So I'd never kill myself as I'd never leave them or harm them.

Hi Foobarjar,

We're really sorry that you're feeling so very low.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. We know you've said that you don't need any help right now, but for anyone else who's feeling this way, here's the link to the Samaritans website. You can also email them on [email protected].

Here too is a link to Mind's webpage on postnatal depression.

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek real life help and support as well.

We're going to move this thread to our Mental Health topic shortly.
