I started taking sertraline 6 days ago and im in hell, the side effects have been bad and yesterday i rung the doctors who said to try taking them at night so i sleep through the initial few hours so I havent had my tablet this morning and am waiting till tonight, in the meantime i keep going dizzy, sweating, hearts hammering and i cant seem to settle at all.

Has anyone found any difference in taking it at night?

I was on Sertraline for 2 years. I hated the beginning and there was no way I could take them at night otherwise I wouldn't have slept at all! It took about 3 months for all the side effects to go away and for me to feel 'better'. I halved the prescribed dose for the first few weeks and that helped me a lot. Once I'd settled into them, they were a godsend. I honestly don't know how I would've managed without them. Different meds work for different people though, so if you continue to struggle with them, see your GP and try something else. Xx

How are you feeling? I hope the sertraline has worked?

Hey love, I totally feel you — I’ve been there too. Switching to taking it at night helped me a lot. My doc suggested the same — taking it before bed so I could sleep through that awful initial wave. It gave my body time to adjust without me being wide awake and overanalyzing every heartbeat. Once my body adapted (around week 2-3), things started to level out. Now I feel so much more stable and calm — like I can finally breathe again.

Also, quick but important tip: make sure you’re using quality Zoloft. I’ve noticed a big difference depending on where it comes from. If it helps, I order mine here: delivery-service24.com/buy-zoloft-uk.html — always reliable and the effects have been consistently great for me. 🌿

Hang in there. The beginning sucks, but it really does get better. Just take it day by day, be gentle with yourself, and don’t hesitate to lean on others when it gets too much. You’ve got this! 💪💞
