Good girl yourself ;) Have you sunshine or just this horrible muggy cloud that I have? grrrrrrrr.

hemel07 · 19/07/2014 21:32

Yes, thanks WasWats. I know you're right and I think that's why I haven't been to the drs. I just panic at the thought of missing something because I put it down to health anxiety. Its a vicious circle isn't it?

Haggisfish · 20/07/2014 00:49

Yes it is! I'll join again, too. Totally convinced I have liver cancer or bowel cancer, too, but am just anxious about my job really. It's rubbish! I'm shattered and really want to sleep, but head is full of ridiculous worst case scenarios.

ballofworry · 20/07/2014 08:30

its just awful isnt it ....i get hooked on something on the back of something iv read or watched on tv or over heard a conversation ...i tend to avoid any situations like that ie if someone starts saying something and its about health and a friend of theres or relative i walk away (politely) or make myself busy ..or change the subject ..
very rarely do i get a magazine and usually a soap one or other gossip one ..i scan the cover first though ....and i to get worse when my life is in slight chaos ....

ballofworry · 22/07/2014 07:58

i now have a tender belly botton this morning , when i touch it ...most odd ...another thing to worry about .... anyone els had this before ?

WasWats · 22/07/2014 10:25

t all to worry about, maybe your button from the shorts / trousers you wore yesterday was a little tight, but most possibly your mind has focused in on that area and has told you the tenderness is there.

My top tip for you today is to have a very very busy day. The mind can only think of one thing at a a time, even though we think we are thinking of a millions things that is impossible. So, if you stay really in the moment you won;t think about anything else other then what you are doing. When you are washing dishes today, only think of that. Think of how the water feels, how the bubbles smell, the noise the palates make when you stack them.

Anything really. Sit down and read a book if that would distract you. Or go out for a walk and listen to all the sounds around you, try to identify each and everyone.

You are fine I promise you x

WasWats · 22/07/2014 10:25

Sorry missed out on the start of my post, it says it is nothing at all to worry about.

WasWats · 24/07/2014 18:02

Am checking in every hour or so to see if you are ok, let us know when you can. I also have a belly button hernia, we are some weird group lol.

WasWats · 24/07/2014 19:25

Are you here yet? :)

ballofworry · 24/07/2014 19:47

yes im here hello Grin so very sorry took me ages to get home after appointment , was an accident and i spent 2 hours at a snails pace getting home ...then had to collect children and home cooked tea ...

well , phew .....all went well , i was so nervous , but saw my gastroentologist and he was very help full and reassuring , went all through my symptoms and concerns and said i have severe IBS i took all my blood test results from doctors and he examined felt my tummy and Blush bottom and was happy with it all and that i need no further tests , i explained how every day i dont have a "normal motion " but he really took time to explain the reasons why and not i get it ...all my anxiety is through my tummy , fight or flight reactions and adrenalin ...making my condition worse and of corse constant worry and anxiety plays a huge part ...
I do feel very relieved i must say ....Grin

thank you so much for being there (virtually ) Thanks

really going to consider theses ADs ...

WasWats · 24/07/2014 20:08

Wohooo delighted for you!
