ive had depression for five years now after having my first child.ive been handling it with the use of meds but its recently came back worse and ive now changed meds which appears to be helping.after talking to a specialist it seems i need to start making changes to my lifestyle as lonliness plays a huge part.no one ever considers me as being depressed as i always come across so strong.anyone else in similar situation?xxx

Molly I echo what samlouboo says, go back to your GP, on the advice of another mumsnetter I wrote down how I was feeling and handed it to my GP when I went for my appointment because I was so conditioned to keeping the good side out that I knew I would chicken out when I seen doctor. I literally walked in the door and handed her my note.

What I meant to say is why don't you write down how you are honestly feeling Molly, doesn't have to be big long note, just how you really feel.

Did you get your appt? Saw my GP today has agreed to refer me and got a form to fill in for CBT. Big waiting list apparently. :(
Also got more meds. How are you?

Hope you are all ok.

Hey Bear, Im still waiting for my appointment, DH is off tomorrow so will call to chase it for me (I can;t phone, part of the social phobia thing Blush )

Glad you had your appointment, and that you spoke up, at least your on the waiting list now. Apparently there are self help CBT style worksheets online. My Dsis has been told about them on her last app, going to google later, might get us in the right frame of mind if nothing else. Smile
