After a bit of research, I’ve decided to try the 16:8 method, and was wondering if anyone else would like to come on the journey - or maybe you are already and have some good advice.
I decided on 16:8 as I’ve recently found myself less hungry in the morning anyway after a few months of trying to clean up my diet - think more protein, veg and fruit and less sugar. Nothing drastic.
Weighed myself this morning and I am 10stone 11 lbs. I’m 5 foot 2 so this is overweight. I’m interested to see how a month of this affects my weight and also peri symptoms- I’ve read that it can help reduce brain fog etc. The more the merrier!

So, just me then 😅. I’ve had a successful day - no food until 12.30 and that was an omelette with veg. Snack of yoghurt and raspberries then dinner was a salmon poke bowl and a ripple for pudding, all finished by 8.30pm.

I started last week!! Happy to tag along! I’ve already lost nearly 6st calorie counting and I can’t shift the last 8kg so I’m trying 16:8

was 112.5kg
now 77.8kg
5ft 6ins

Sorry should have said - I’ve lost 2kg this week!! On an average of 1600 cals plus exercise 2-3 times per week (at least 5k run) and at least 10k steps a day

Yay! Hi @Ihavenoideawhatmyusernameis, it’s nice to have someone else to chat with about this. Congratulations on your weight loss, you really must have been very dedicated to the calorie counting, amazing. How are you finding 16:8 so far? I’m finding it much easier than I thought I would as long as I have about 3 strong black coffees before lunch.

It’s been ok - I’m surprised to be honest, that my appetite seems to be less apparent during the afternoon (bonus!). I’m drinking plenty of water too which is helping.

I am also quite reliant on a decent coffee (or 3!)!!

My eating window is 11-7 as it suits me better. Can’t be earlier than that because I’ll be snacking at night! Hungry this morning though, but I ran 6k last night x

I agree, after I eat lunch I’m not reaching for the snacks like I usually am. I’ll maybe have an Apple or something late afternoon but then that keeps me fine until dinner at around 6.30 -7pm. What I do need to do is build up my exercise again. I used to be a regular runner but just can’t seem to get back into it at the moment - maybe I just need to force myself out the door for the first few times!

It totally threw me yesterday - I was starving! First time that’s happened so i know it was the run!

it was a battle yesterday! I can already tell i feel better today. Hopefully a good day and an easy weekend!
