If you eat in a 4 hour window or less, and aim for high-ish protein, how do you do it??

Just that really... I've read that our bodies can't absorb more than 25-30g protein at a sitting...and I'm aiming for 80-100g a day... but in 4 hours that's really only two meals, so 60g....Hmm

what do you do?

Why are you restricting to a 4 hour window. Seems very extreme. Why not an 8 hour window?

I find that with an 8 hour window I don't lose weight - it's great for maintenance for me, but not weight loss.

I rather thought there would be lots of under 4 hours on here... all the OMAD, etc. For me, 4 hours is 2 good meals and Im full and losing weight - and healthy stuff except for thinking I dont get enough protein in

ps Its a temporary measure, just 4 days a week for a few weeks

I lost 2.5 stone doing an 8 hour window. I maintain my weight with roughy an 8/9 hour window. I do it every day when at home. I don't focus too much on quantities of protein, more on not too much carbs.

Are you overweight?

I don’t think a 4 hour window is healthy tbh.

loveyouradvice · 27/08/2025 22:36

Yes I've about a stone to lose - and Im 64 so it isn't the easiest. Im a big Gin Stephens fan and she definitely is in the camp of 4 hours for the last stone if other ways dont work - but better to mix it up if you can, which is what I do
