Hello!
I'm 37 and id like to lose about 3/4 of a stone.
I lost it with a traditional diet but I lost the momentum and it seemed impossible.

5:2 seems doable because I reckon I can go without most things for a day, that feels like less pressure

Does anyone have any tips please?!

I did 5:2 a few years ago and it worked well. I didn't keep it up. My weight has gone up by nearly a stone over the last 6 years, partly due to menopause and just having too big portions.
Have started again and lost 6lb in the first week! Maybe water but who cares! I have a smoothie with defrosted frozen berries, a dessert spoon of yoghurt and semi skim milk for lunch, a salad for supper with a boiled egg or similar. I'm not strict on my off days but find I am more conscious of what I eat.
Good luck!
