How long to do The Very Fast 800 phase for??

Hello,

I started the 800(ish) cals a day just over a week ago and it's going well! Have dodgy scales but think i have lost around 7lbs which I'm delighted with and definitely can see a difference. Would like to lose a further 16lb in total. I'm wondering whether to keep going with the 800 a day until I reach goal weight or do you switch to 5:2 before you get to goal weight?? We had planned on doing it until the end of Jan as have a birthday (then going 5:2) but then also figure could be at goal weight by the end of February if kept up the 800 a day.... Essentially not sure how long to do this phase for.
Any tips welcome :) xx

I'm doing it for 12 weeks if I can. Partly because I have a weight goal for a holiday in march! But may end up switching to 5:2 if I'm finding it hard or if I reach my goal sooner. Aiming to lose a stone.

Ps last time I did the same. The 5:2 worked really well for me but felt with food prices I had to stop as things like pasta/rice we're cheaper. Hoping my increase in salary will mean I can continue!

Do it for up to 12 weeks or whenever you hit a 'normal' BMI, whichever comes first.

I thought the fast 800 12 week plan was only for people with lots of weight to lose, i.e. multiple stones.

This. It's what's recommended on website and then you switch to Way of Life; 5:2 or whatever diet/program suits you the best (I'm a subscriber so not sure what details you see if not subscribed).

@GildedAge anyone can use it to loose weight. I really enjoyed the online program.

Thank you all. This is helpful! Think I will do for another week so I can get out of the 'overweight' BMI range then move to 5:2. Worried I'll put weight back on with the 5:2 but will try and trust the process!
