Planning for Christmas - how can we all celebrate and maintain our weight loss??

Yes, I know that Christmas temptation for me may lead to days of gorging wonderful things... but equally doesn't have to.

I've had a couple of Christmases where I've not gained weight - but they are not the norm and take a lot of mental effort and some planning.

So, what's your approach?

And mine, for now. I'm aiming to lose weight gently with several OMAD days until Saturday 16 December, so for the next two weeks.

And then my goal is to stay at that weight whatever it is (and I'm hoping it is 12 stone) until around 4 January when I'll start losing again.

So ... I'm working out the plan now. At the moment,

1.Each morning weigh myself and plan my eating for that day and a couple of days ahead
2.To plan as many OMAD days as I can midst family and entertaining
3.To really enjoy the food I eat - relishing every mouthful.... and using Gin Stephen's wonderful motto Delay Dont Deny

4.To notice as soon as I start eating mindlessly and stop as soon as I can
5.To be clear about my eating window every day whether it is 2 hours or 12
6.To have lots of easy-to-eat protein and veggies in the fridge, and bowls of physalis and clementines out

I can already hear myself saying it is going to be tough, and wondering if I can do it...

So I'm going to spend more time thinking HOW I can do it and WHAT I will enjoy... I will enjoy eating amazing food in small quantities without guilt.. I will enjoy the pride and pleasure in wearing favourite clothes again and my body moving easily...I will enjoy the planning and imagining how I will feel with my early-January body at the same weight

And... I'm hesitating here... I'm going to tell my husband each morning what my eating window and plan are....

It’s so tricky isn’t it! I’m thinking I’ll do a fair bit of OMAD too as I really don’t want to pile on the pounds! I’ll be happy if I see out the month just maintaining but a loss would be a bonus.

I’m reading fast eat repeat right now! I am hoping to lose up to Christmas which is definitely ambitious and maintain until new year. Myvplsn is 1 long fast afweek but as I undid my work from last fast in 12 hours i will need to do some 2 mad to make up the difference! See you on the other thread!
