Does it still work if you have milk in your tea?

I’ve been fasting every day for a few months, which helps me maintain my weight. But I’ve recently given up caffeine and I’m not a fan of Herbal as I really like the taste of tea so I’m drinking rooibus Tick tock tea with milk/oat milk.

I really don’t want to give this up but I also want to extend my fasting so I’m in deficit.

Does milk in tea really have an impact?

Deficit being the key. A splash of milk isn’t really going to tip you into excess.

I have tea with a splash of milk. Someday I just can't cope with a tea. Ideally I don't have anything at all but some days I just need that tea!

You'll lose weight by the calorie deficit you have in 24hrs, not depending on the time you eat the calories

The idea with fasting is not just about calories it's about insulin too.
You fast for the health benefits.
Unless you do a glucose reading you won't know for sure if having a splash of milk raises your insulin.
I started fasting almost 5 months ago and what I've found for me, bear in mind I haven't done any glucose reading, is that I feel I can get away with one cuppa tea in the morning with a dash of milk and maybe one in the evening. These are both while I'm fasting and what's known as a dirty fast. I drink quite a few cuppas during my eating window.
I've found I can sometimes have an extra cup or two sometimes but if I have it regularly I notice I'm more hungry during my fasting hours and have cravings.
Now I've no idea if it's impacted my weight loss or not. Maybe I would be more successful if I clean fasted. The idea been that once you've fat adapted and are burning fat any calories can throw you out of this. But I do feel that it doesn't affect me once I keep it to a minimum.

I have a splash of skimmed milk in my cuppa during fasting time in the morning, no idea of the impact but I'm loosing weight steadily doing 18/6 so that's good enough for me.
