So I’ve been doing Fast800 for five weeks, first two were strict and last 3 I had a cheat day on Saturday.
ive lost 5kg so far…great. Beginning of this week, I was losing about 0.2kg a day and even put on 0.4kg on Tuesday.

Thursday, I was weak. I had a KFC burger meal, five biscuits and half a cinnamon swirl. Friday, I went on a play date, had a americano with oat milk and had to finish off my child’s toasted tea cake.
I so had 3 biscuits in the evening.

I weighed myself today and I’ve lost a whole kg! 1.2 kg!! How does that work??? I wish I didn’t because it’s given me a false sense of “oh I can eat junk now !”.

I'm not sure either as similar has happened to me but I've upped my exercise so I wonder if my metabolism has increased? May e that's what's happened to you too? Or we will both put the weight back on next week! 😬

EmmaEmerald · 04/02/2023 10:54

Wait, you've lost nearly a stone in 6 weeks?

I might have to try Fast 500 again....

lowclouds · 04/02/2023 13:15

Because overall your calories in is less than your calories out, even with those few treats included.

bananasinabowl · 04/02/2023 14:55

@queenofthebongo i hope not, does the body take a while to put on the calories consumed!

@lowclouds I ate about 1500 calories on Thursday. No way I did that equivalent in exercise. So bizarre!

@EmmaEmerald yes, fast 800. Only diet that’s worked for me as I need to sss results fast for me to keep going.

@bananasinabowl Not bizarre at all. You don't burn all your calories through exercise.

Look up basal metabolic rate. 1,500 will be less than you are burning in a day.

lowclouds · 04/02/2023 19:28

...and even if you eat more than you burn in a single day, take your average across a week.

It's not rocket science. The only way your body can physically lose weight is by taking in fewer calories than it consumes. It's simple science. All diets are is different ways of achieving this.

Oh it's changed

I tried it when it was 500 cals two days a week and didn't last long. 800 seems worth a try.
