Hi all

So me and my husband have talked and we want to try for a baby in early 2024. However, I'm massively overweight.
I'm about 5'2 and tip the scales at 19 stone
I'm currently trying the 5:2 (Monday and Thursday as fast days) and whilst I lost 3lbs in my second week I have since piled that back on.
On Monday and Thursday we typically have a supermarket counted ready meal totalling to 300 and then have a few healthy snacks bits like apples and small lunchbox sized cheese rest of the week we try and keep it low calorie. Fast days really take it out of me and make me really grumpy I don't know what else to do really. Exercise wise we try and walk a mile a day today I've done just over 10,000 steps and burned over 600 calories according to the step counter on my phone. I don't really want to part with any money (Cost of living is a joke) does anyone have any suggestions? Ideally I want to lose as much as possible to get to a healthy weight.

Low carb shifts massive amounts of weight without feeling deprived - once you've got over the first couple of weeks.

Try the low carb bootcamp threads.

I downloaded the NHS Weight Loss app and it's going well. It's just calorie counting with some advice and the facility to look up calories in the app. I reduced carbs early on as they were using up a good chunk of my calorie allowance.
