Has anyone had their periods stop or cycles messed up with IF?

I'm 35 need to lose 2-3 stone. I've been researching into IF and it's benefits seem so good. But I've read that women of a reproductive age, shouldn't fast longer than 12-16 hours a day ?
I'm happy to do 16/8 but I want to try for a baby next year and really would like some other womens experiences, Thankyou xx

The last time I looked, there was no positive evidence base for fasting being healthy for pre-menopausal women and some negative evidence than the catabolic/anabolic cycles of hormonal changes made fasting unhealthy and not an effective weight loss strategy beyond anecdata of 'I lost weight...'.

There was a spate of pregnancies on the 5:2 thread about 8 years ago. I can't answer for any scientific research but 5:2 didn't prevent a number of us getting pregnant (including me).
