Hi,

I'm starting calorie counting but have heard lots of good things about doing fasting alongside.

How does it work exactly? Are you meant to do it every day or for only a few days at a time?

Thank you for any information / advice!! Grin

Being a muslim, fasting comes every year for 30 days (known as ramadan) One year I lost half a stone! I suppose it depends on how much weight you are looking to lose also

I fast for the health benefits not so much weight loss. I do it most days and did it in my most recent pregnancy too, with a longer eating window than pre-pregnancy. Fasting can work well for fat loss, my dh does extended fasts to cut weight for powerlifting comps. Dr Jason Fung has good advise on how to do it well, also Dr Eric Berg and Dr Mindy Pelz. All do YouTube videos.
