Buying calories on the Fast 800

Hi all,

Completely new to this but lockdown has not been kind to me😳

Is it possible to "buy back" calories with the fast 800?

As in if I go for a 400 calorie run I can then have 400 calorie extra?

Thanks in advance Smile

I know people will say you shouldn't, and I had a hard time finding people who would say they did. But if you exercise a lot you can't be expected to go the distance on so little. I wouldn't count the calories of say, normal walking around or school run etc, but if I deliberately burn 500 cals on the bike using my heart rate monitor, I eat some or all of the calories back otherwise I'd be so hungry I wouldn't be able to concentrate. It hasn't affected weight loss. I aim for 800 net.

Thanks that's really helpful! I keep wanting to start but it's never the right day Confused

Data and experience shows that people
overestimate how much exercise they have done
and
underestimate how much they have eaten

so if aiming for 800 calories a day, do exactly that with a set of scales and MFP
and exercise to help, not to eat more Smile

@ListeningQuietly you are so right, it was only when I started to track my exercise on Fitbit that I saw how few calories you burn for that additional bag of crisps🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
